Lofotenseminaret 2017

The Lofoten Seminar is a biannual national symposium in petroleum geophysics and was first held in 1993.

The purpose of the seminar is to gather universities, research institutions and industry in Norway in order to present ongoing research in petroleum geophysics.

It serves as a meeting place for PhD-students, post docs, university professors and industry professionals to discuss and review important issues to be solved for bringing this research field forward. Also, some internationally recognized researchers will give invited talks.

The Lofoten Seminar is organized by all the universities in Norway involved in research and education in geoscience in Norway. It is supported by NFiP in addition to some industry sponsors. PhD-students may apply for the necessary funding needed to participate.
